The Rowanbank team has been really busy facilitating ‘imaginary forest’ workshops in primary schools in Craigmillar, in the lead up to our ‘magical woodland walk’ in Craigmillar Castle Park. Over 120 local people joined our forest circus to celebrate the Autumn harvest!
We’ve also been running staff training sessions with teachers and learning assistants, on using creative approaches in outdoor learning.
Our stilt walking performers have been delighting audiences at the ‘Enchanted Forest’ (with over 70,000 visitors during the month of October!!)
It’s been a spooky time recently, what with all the Halloween/Samhuinn celebrations. As part of our on-going commitment to engage with disadvantaged communities throughout Scotland, we teamed up with the Forestry Commission to provide a night time walk in Todds Well Woods, in Easterhouse, Glasgow (see attached photo).
